The Impropankki project is finally moving into action as this year’s first performance and workshop tours begin!
The final phase of the two-year Impropankki project launches in April. The aim of this phase is to introduce schools to an online-based resource platform featuring thirty short, video-based improvisation exercises. Off/Balance will visit ten schools in Jyväskylä and across Central Finland, where students will experience Hutiklubi—a performance combining dance, theatre, and music improvisation—and take part in a related workshop.
At the same time, teachers will receive guidance on how to use the Impropankki online platform and implement the exercises independently. The project’s goal is to embed improvisation into everyday school life across different situations and subjects, continuing beyond the artist visits.
The touring team of performers and workshop facilitators includes Jukka Tarvainen, Lauri Kallio, Katja Sallinen, Elina Häyrynen, and Mimmi Salo.
